Obituary-Donna Lynn (Dale) Livingston
Donna Lynn Livingston, a longtime resident of the Cortez area, recently passed away at the home of her son and his family in Gypsum, Colorado on August 30, 2022. Donna was born in Denver, Colorado to Martin and Eleanor Dale on May 20, 1946. She married Mickey (Dewitt) Livingston on November 1, 1964, in Cortez, Colorado. They farmed pinto beans, wheat, and barley north of Cortez for twenty years. They then moved to southern California where Donna worked for a financial company and Mickey worked for Coca-Cola. Donna and Mickey lived for a few years in Phoenix and later returned to Colorado.
Donna is survived by her son Steven Livingston (Jacquelyn Livingston), three grandchildren Shannyn Skaggs (David Skaggs), Madysen Livingston, Sean Sanchez, one great grandchild Rowan Skaggs, and two sisters Marsha Beach (B.J. Fiske), and Marti McNamee(William Niehues). She was preceded in death by her husband Mickey Livingston, her parents Martin Dale and Eleanor Wiles, and her daughter Debbie Sanchez.
Donna’s wishes were to be cremated and her ashes spread in Ouray, Colorado, a special place for Donna and Mickey. A celebration of life honoring Donna will be planned in Ouray next summer, 2023.
