Obituary for Dwight Paul Neuman

Dwight Paul Neuman (62), of Glenwood Springs, passed away on Saturday, February 9th at Valley View Hospital, following a brief illness.
Dwight was born on November 12, 1956 in Rochester, New York to Paul and Ruth Neuman. He grew up in Naperville, Illinois and at an early age grew a love of the outdoors spending summer vacations at the family’s cabin in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. He moved to Colorado in 1975 to participate in an Outward Bound program and attended Colorado Mountain College. Eventually his love of the mountains brought Dwight to Glenwood Springs, Colorado where he has lived for over 25 years. As an avid outdoor and nature enthusiast, Dwight was employed by Factory Outdoor in Glenwood Springs for the past 12 years and spent much of his free time enjoying camping, hiking, mountain biking and guiding rafting trips on the Colorado River. Dwight had a keen interest in music and as a talented bass guitar player, he performed at local venues around Glenwood Springs.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Ruth of Virginia Beach, Virginia, brother Todd Neuman of El Portal, Florida, sister Diane Ryan and her husband Sean of Virginia Beach, nephew Patrick Ryan of Virginia Beach, two nieces Anna Ryan of Culver City, California, Meghan Ryan and her husband Sean Weber of Harrisonburg, Virginia and many friends in Glenwood Springs.
Family and friends will be invited to attend a Celebration of Life that will be held in Glenwood Springs to honor Dwight’s memory in late Spring.
