Obituary for Rhonda Lee Harrison

Rhonda Lee Harrison, passed away in Grand Junction, Colorado, on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to honor her life by living their lives to the fullest.
Rhonda was born on a Saturday, April 4, 1959, to Buddy and Faye Harrison in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She spent most of her life in Eagle, Colorado. She had two passions; her love of horses and her dedication to giving her two sons the best life could offer. If you took that Sunday drive up Brush Creek in the 70’s, you surely saw her riding her horse through the fields of Eagle Ranch. Once her boys were in school, most summers you could find her traveling all over the state supporting DJ’s love of Baseball or in the winter months, sitting in the bleechers at Eagle Valley High School, cheering on Bryce as he pursued his love of Football and Lacrosse. She retired as the Payroll Coordinator at the Eagle County School District after 32 years, where she made lifetime friends who speak to this day of her integrity and fairness. She stayed around Gypsum for a couple years after retirement, but warmer weather was calling her west. Her last years were spent in Grand Junction, Colorado, with her sons and granddaughters, Joslyn and Kayra. One of the best times of her life was spent on the beaches of the Outer Banks. This is where her first love was rekindled as she watched the Corolla Wild Horses storm the beaches at sunrise and roam the sand hills at dusk. She spoke often of her dream to return one day, now gets to see them whenever she wants for as long as she wants.
Rhonda is survied by her sons; Dale Elkins, Jr. (DJ) (Grand Junction, CO) and Bryce Steggall (Grand Junction, CO), two granddaughters; Joslyn and Kayra Elkins, two sisters; Cheryl Weist (Grand Junction, CO) and Stefanie Cramer (Gypsum, CO), two nephews and four nieces; Michael Rivera (Grand Junction), Rebecca Martinez (Efrain) (Grand Junction, CO), Chad Parker (Jennifer) (McAlester, OK), Corin Cramer (Leadville, CO), Shelby Burnham (Hunter) (Edwards, CO), Anna Cramer (Avon, CO).
