I am the middle child in our family and consequently, I have had many fights with my sisters. Primarily Terri, when we were younger. I hated Terri pulling my hair. When this happened we would get into some knock out drag out fights. Rona was the one to always stepped in and broke it up. She would separate us and not allow it to start again. She was stronger than I and I couldn’t concur her like I could Terri. She was the peace maker in the family. She was our strength.
Later in life we grew very close both personally and professionally. She was my confidant and support system and I was hers. Many times we have shared our heart aches together and cry. Now I cry alone.
Through her final days here on earth, I had the privilege to care for my dear friend and sister. I got to know more about who she was through her friends, whom I have realized were closer to her than I. She had a special gift of being liked and loved by many and will never be forgotten only remembered as someone very special.
I will truly miss my best friend, my rock and our sisterhood.
